As per the latest revision, the total number of Constable vacancies has been increased/revised to 11,749 posts, including 8,212 vacancies for male candidates and 3,537 for female candidates.

WB Police Constable Eligibility
Educational Qualification
Candidates should have passed the Madhyamik Examination or equivalent examination from a recognised board.
Candidates are also required to have proficiency in speaking, reading and writing Bengali. The applicable language provisions for candidates from the Darjeeling and Kalimpong hill subdivisions will apply as per the relevant rules.
Age Limit
For the original recruitment, the general age requirement was 18 to 30 years, with relaxation applicable to eligible reserved categories and other specified groups.
