IBPS Hindi Officer Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates must fulfil the prescribed educational qualification and age requirements before applying for the Hindi Officer position.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Master’s degree from a recognized university in one of the following combinations:
- Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a major or elective subject at graduation level.
- Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a major or elective subject at graduation level.
- Master’s degree in a subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi as a major or elective subject and English as the medium of examination at degree level.
- Master’s degree in a subject other than Hindi or English, with English as a major or elective subject and Hindi as the medium of examination at degree level.
Knowledge of computers is mandatory. Candidates should be capable of preparing and typing translated documents in Hindi and English using applications such as MS Word and Excel.
Experience in English-to-Hindi and Hindi-to-English translation work in a bank or financial institution is desirable. Experience or exposure in developing AI-based translation tools may also be considered an additional qualification.

The Hindi Officer will be appointed in Grade E on a regular basis. The basic pay is ₹44,900 per month. According to the recruitment details, the initial monthly emoluments are approximately ₹91,070, including applicable allowances such as DA, HRA and TA.
The approximate annual CTC is ₹17.39 lakh, subject to the applicable rules and policies.
