Kerala TET Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates must satisfy the educational qualification prescribed for their respective category.
Category I (Lower Primary)
Candidates should possess any one of the following:
- Higher Secondary with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed.
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and a Diploma in Special Education.
Category II (Upper Primary)
Eligible candidates should have:
- Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (TTC or equivalent), or
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and B.Ed., or
- Higher Secondary with 50% marks and B.El.Ed., or
- Higher Secondary with 50% marks and B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
Category III (High School)
Candidates should possess:
- Graduation with at least 45% marks in the concerned subject and B.Ed.
- OR M.Sc.Ed. in relevant subjects from Regional Institutes of Education recognized by NCERT.
